Milking a Cow

One of the major highlights of the fair (potentially even more exciting than the chocolate chip cookies) was that Michael was able to milk a cow at the fair (with Mommy's help of course). First, we'll meet the cow.

Everyone that was in line to milk the cow had to wash their hands. Michael absolutely loved milking the cow, (It might be too small to see in this picture, but there is milk coming into the pail) so much so in fact that Andrea had to pull him away so someone else could have a turn or he would not have stopped milking the cow. Then they had to wash their hands again, and then they were presented with a red white & blue ribbon that says "I milked a cow at the Minnesota State Fair." Michael also asked Mommy if he could keep the cow, and when Mommy said "No", he asked if he could have a smaller cow (ie. a calf). Mommy also said no to that, so Michael was not very happy about that. Mommy told him he would have to buy a farm to have a cow. I'm pretty sure he wants a farm right now, and he's not willing to wait.
