A Cleaning Frenzy

In addition to being a most helpful child, Michael is also an absolute perfectionist when it comes to cleaning. He can usually be found cleaning something or asking someone else to pick it up for him so that it is cleaned up. This past weekend, when he told me he had to go to the bathroom, we attempted, but were not successful. However, he picked up the toilet brush, and started cleaning Mommy & Daddy's toilet. Then he flushed the toilet, and the results were not satisfactory, so he scrubbed again. He flushed it the second time, and it appeared to be better, but it was not the sparkling clean toilet he insisted on, so he scrubbed his little heart out one more time, and flushed it for a final time and pronounced it good. Mommy has informed me that sometimes he goes downstairs and cleans my toilet as well, I assume its just because he can. He was also obsessed with looking in the intake and outflow vents in the floor in the living room with a flashlight. He saw a penny and saw some of Mocha's food, and wouldn't stop reminding us until we had hauled the shopvac upstairs and thoroughly vacuumed out both vents. Michael & I were also outside this weekend, and we were vacumming up leaves in the driveway because Michael insisted they needed to be gone, so he would point, and I would suck them up, and then he would tell me where else he wanted them gone. He has been so obsessed with leaves that he actually took the big broom and started sweeping them out from under my car. He also wanted the branch off of our roof that had fallen down in a thunderstorm, so Daddy climbed up on the roof and got the branch down. (Unfortunately, Mommy was not too pleased about that when she found out, but I think she was upset at Daddy, and not Michael).
