Planting & Watering Flowers

Today Andrea decided to plant some flowers, so we went and bought some potting soil and a couple flowers. We were emptying some of the potting soil into the pots, and Michael of course had to help. James asked me to fill another pot, and before I could get there, Michael ran up, picked up on of the empty potting soil bags and preceded to "pour" the potting soil into the pot. He of course figured out that there was no potting soil in the bag, and was upset. Then he had to help hold the bag when I poured the actual potting soil. He also tried digging up the flowers after Andrea had planted them, so he was scooped up and carried inside (against his will) where he was given a stern admonishment from Daddy NOT to dig up Mommy's flowers. Then he was allowed back outside to help Mommy water the flowers with Michael's fish watering can that they bought specifically for him. Watering in Michael's vocabulary equates to drown, and Andrea was forced to bail water to rescue some of the flowers from the torrential downpour.
