To try and improve the look of the front yard, and prepare for spring / summer, Andrea decided to rake the front yard with the assistance of one of the neighbor boys (who eagerly offered to help for a small fee). Michael was not to be left out of the picture, and has his own personal plastic yellow rake just his size. Not only does he have to have a rake, but the rake must be put to good use, and he has to copy everything that Mommy does. When it comes to just picking up leaves, he had to pick up just as many leaves as possible so as not to appear inferior in the process because of his age and lack of experience in these matters. He finally decided that two adult rakes (one for Mommy and one for Daddy, and he remembers which is which) were better than his own rake. Despite Michael's assistance, the front yard does look like we have made serious improvements.
