Prayers at Bedtime
We usually pray with Michael before meals, and at bedtime. At meals, Michael seems fine, and folds his hands, and so does everyone else, and Mommy or Daddy prays. Every once in a while, when Mommy asks him who he wants to prayer, he says Miss Tammy. However, it's an entirely different story at bedtime. We all folded our hands, but the instant I folded mine, Michael got upset, and screamed no! We couldn't figure out what was going on. When I unfolded them, he was fine, and then when I folded them again, he would get upset. Mommy even tried to reason with him and tell him that we were praying and that we always fold our hands when praying, but this logic was not working on a 2 year old. We eventually figured out that he wanted us all to hold hands with each other, including him. So we did, and he has been fine ever since. We still haven't figured out why this is, but he seems happy, it encourages family togetherness and that's all that matters.
