Well, in this case, it stopped. Permanently. We had known this was imminent, because the neighbor boys have had it for several years, and they have been riding around on it in really bad shape, and it just looked like it could fall apart at any moment, and it finally did. Michael walked around saying "tractor broken," and was inspecting the damage, and then was confident that Daddy could fix it. He was not pleased when Daddy said he couldn't. Fortunately, the neighbor boys had two John Deere tractors, so there is still one tractor for the three of them to fight over. Michael has begun to be in the "mine" phase, and refuses to play ball properly, or share time on the tractor. After all the world revolves around him. Also, you can see Michael issuing instructions, (for clarity sake, we'll refer to them as "orders") and you can also see a ramp / jump behind him. In case inquiring minds want toknow, the sign taped to the tractor says

"U.S. Air Force Afterburner" because as you well
know (or could perhaps imagine), a pedal tractor can really "fly" if you get enough speed up on that ramp, and well, when the afterburners kick in, you had better watch out. I mean that literally, you could get run over because the neighbor boys pedal so furiously, and their idea of fun is a demolition derby and playing chicken. Michael's idea of fun is going under your legs with the dump truck (or anything else he is pushing or carrying) when you least expect it. Clearance is also not forefront on his mind as he will go under my legs just as much (and just as fast) as he does with Mommy & Daddy, and there is far more clearance under their legs.
