As many of you may have heard or possibly experienced, Michael has a serious fascination, perhaps to the extend of obsession or possibly just emulation with Thomas the Tank Engine, (quite possibly rivaling the obsession with cows), so much so in fact that Mommy & Daddy took him with his grandparents to ride on Thomas the Tank Engine (a real live train) in Fremont, Nebraska. (Unfortunately, I was not along for this adventure, but I did get a picture from Mommy & Daddy). Back home however, this fascination has not showed any signs of ceasing, so in an effort to expend some pent up energy, Mommy & Michael went outside. Mommy created a masterpiece of sidewalk chalk art, and designed an entire railroad system with a train depot, a tree, a lake and plenty of curves.
Miss Tammy created the warning signs for the curves. Unfortunately, due to the surface we were working on, it was stricly a 2-dimensional project, but Michael didn't seem to mind. He was exceedingly happy to just speed around the tracks with his "train." However, probably more times than not, he jumped the tracks and missed the curve plunging straight into the lake. Amazingly, the "train" seemed to revive each time with minor chalk damage. It was so exciting for Michael that as soon as the neighbor boys got home, he ran over and told them they had to come and see. The railroad line was also named Mocha's Line (which seemed more fitting than the red line or the blue line).
