Taking Care of Daddy
Today, I got home and pulled in the driveway just in front of Mommy. She had picked up Michael from daycare, and he was excited to see that Miss Tammy was home. Mommy asked him if he wanted to go check the mail with Miss Tammy, but he shook his head no, and went into the garage and opened the door into the house. (Yes, he's getting that tall.) Apparently he had a one-track mind, and that was to make sure that Daddy was OK. Daddy had been feeling sick the day before, and Michael was very concerned. It was only after confirming for himself that Daddy was ok lying on the couch, that he agreed to go with Miss Tammy to get the mail. Of course, by then he was asserting his independent streak, and saying No, No, I got it. He wanted to go check the mail by himself. However, on the way to the mailbox, he diverted over to the neighbor's boys house, and so Mommy followed him while Miss Tammy veered off to check the mail. When Michael & Mommy came back in, Michael decided it was take care of Daddy time. While Mommy went to the grocery store, Michael covered Daddy with a blanket, and layed down right beside him and put his little hand on Daddy's chest. It was just heartwarming...
