Why did they kill him??

Today we made Resurrection rolls. Michael got the recipe last week in Sunday School. You need crescent rolls which represent the burial clothes Jesus was wrapped in, and then you need a big white marshmallow to represent Jesus and his purity. You then use melted butter to represent the oils for embalming. Then you dip the marshmallow with oil in a cinnamon & sugar mixture to represent the spices used to anoint Jesus' body. You then wrap "Jesus" in the "burial cloth" and put him in the "tomb" at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes which represents the 3 days and 3 nights that Jesus was in the tomb. When "the soldiers" check the "tomb" they find that "Jesus" is gone and HE IS RISEN. The marshmallow melts and the crescent roll puffs up and they are very tasty!!! While telling Michael the story, he was very concerned as to why the "bad people" wanted to kill Jesus. When we took the rolls out of the oven we asked him what he thought he would find in the rolls and he very confidently replied "Jesus!" So we showed him a roll, and Miss Tammy opened it for him because it was still a little hot, and he asked "Where is he??" He was very concerned of course because he had placed the marshmallow in the crescent rolls himself. Now we just have to find a creative way to explain the ascension.
